Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is with great enthusiasm that we present the Bilbao Hip and Knee Meeting 2024 to be held at the Guggenheim Museum on 10 and 11 October. This event is part of the celebrations to mark the centenary of the Hospital San Juan Santurtzi, where there has been a particular focus on Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery right from the start.

As the directors of this trailblazing congress, we are delighted to welcome you to this high-level educational forum that brings together the top-tier experts and leaders in the field of hip and knee replacement surgery. Over the two days, the participants will have a unique opportunity to attend keynote speeches, interactive sessions and in-depth discussions on the latest developments and technological advances in hip and knee reconstructive surgery. Furthermore, the emphasis will be on sharing ideas and collaboration between colleagues; the outcome will be mutual enrichment and the strengthening of our network of professionals committed to excellence and continuous improvement.

As innovation will be centre-stage, the venue has to be the Guggenheim Museum, a building that is globally renowned for its avant-garde architecture and which has become – since it was opened in 1997 – an icon of the city of Bilbao.

We would like to end by publicly thanking the course’s Scientific and Organising Committee for their collaboration and without whose time and work this event could not be happening.
